Marcia Whitaker, 55, was found in the backyard of her home in the 400 block of West Parkwood Avenue by a family member, according to officials with the Springfield Police Division.
Whitaker was reported missing on Wednesday, after relatives said they hadn’t seen her in about a week.
When someone went over to check on her pets at about 1 p.m. Saturday, they saw Whitaker face down in the snow.
Medics responded to the scene and said she had been dead for an unknown amount of time.
Investigators with the Clark County Coroner’s Office removed her body. An autopsy is scheduled.
No signs of foul play were found at the scene, according to police.
