Police arrested a Middletown High School student Tuesday night after the student allegedly made a threat towards the school, according to the district.

Middletown City School officials and police were notified of a social media post Tuesday where a student threatened to commit violence, the district said in a Facebook post.

Police located and later arrested the student accused of making the threat, officials said.
“Following the advice from (Middletown police) we consider the threat over and school will occur as normal,” the district said in the post.
