Marathon to release first quarter earnings report


Findlay-based Marathon Petroleum Corp. will discuss its first quarter financial results early next month, according to information from the company.

Marathon will host a conference call at 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 1 to provide an update on company operations. Marathon is the parent company of the Speedway convenience store chain, headquartered in Enon. Speedway operates about 2,740 convenience stores in 21 states.

Marathon is the nation’s second-largest refiner, with a crude oil refining capacity of approximately 1.9 million barrels per calendar day in its six-refinery system. The company reported a strong year in 2017, nearly tripling its earnings and seeing solid results from Speedway.
