Looking for a way to spend Valentine’s Day in Springfield?

John Mortensen, professor of piano at Cedarville University, will play a program of jazz and classics themed around Valentine’s Day for his Feb. 14 Sanctuary Series concert at High Street United Methodist Church.

The free concert at 3 p.m. will be followed by a meet the artist reception in The Commons at the church.

A free-will offering will be taken to help support the monthly series of free concerts. STAFF REPORT

United Senior Services also has planned a Valentine Dinner Dance on Friday, Feb. 12, starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Pitzer Center, 101 S. Fountain Ave. Dick Hatfield will serve as host and DJ featuring music from Frank Sinatra.

All seniors in the community are invited to attend. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the center in advance of the event. For more details call 937-323-4948. STAFF REPORT
