Local news anchor leaving WDTN

DAYTON — WDTN Channel 2 evening news anchor Libby Kirsch will leave the station in mid-January and move to Ann Arbor, Mich., where her husband has a new job.

WDTN News vice president and general manager Lisa Barhorst said Tuesday, Nov. 24, that Kirsch’s husband Tom Wamsley took a job at the University of Michigan.

“It’s a terrific opportunity for him,” Barhorst said. “I’m happy for them, but of course, have mixed emotions. She is an asset to the station and the community. I wish them the best of luck.”

Kirsch, who has the 5:30 p.m. anchor slot, couldn’t be reached immediately for comment.
