Galations issued an eviction notice on Aug. 16 and gave CiCi’s until Aug. 25 to vacate the premises, according to the complaint. At the time of the lawsuit, the franchise owner, Jim Harness, said Galations had raised the rent and he was hoping to work out an agreement.
Cici’s leased the $5,667-a-month store-front in March 2008, according to the complaint. The lease was to expire in 2015.
The complaint does not specify if the $82,539.47 in charges includes rent due through the end of the lease.
