Kings Island looking to hire 500 for Halloween Haunt

MASON — With the current job market a killer, Kings Island is looking to staunch the blood-letting by taking on 500 of the grisliest applicants available to partake in the park’s annual Halloween Haunt festivities.

The park is looking to hire outgoing individuals with strong stomachs to portray a multitude of monsters during the park’s Halloween flavored weekend festivities that run six weekends in late September and October.

Open interviews will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. on Fridays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays through Sept. 4. Interviews will be done in person at the park. No appointments are needed, but applicants can apply online prior to their interviews at www.visitkingsisland.com/jobs.

Applicants must be at least 16 years old.

Halloween haunt is Kings Island’s annual fall fright festival, featuring 14 specialized haunted attractions as well as many of the parks normal rides and attractions. Halloween Haunt will run from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. every Friday and Saturday between Sept. 23 and Oct. 29.

Kings Island is open daily through Aug. 28 and also on Labor Day weekend.
