Age: 46
City: Springfield
Total weight loss: 100 pounds
When and why did you decide to make a lifestyle change?
I started working out at age 39. I started because I got cancer at age 30. I felt horrible about myself. I just adopted my daughter at age 31. I needed to get moving! I lost a significant amount of weight, about 81 pounds. Then I gained about 30 pounds back. Then, I joined a gym and lost up to 111 pounds total. Right now, I’m learning weight loss is not a direct path — it has many curves and reverses. I just keep putting along and doing my best. I’ve maintained 90 pounds lost for about four to five years now.
