Slight warming trend starts, showers to return by end of week

Overnight: Clouds will slowly increase, but it will stay dry, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist McCall Vrydaghs said. Overnight lows are expected in the upper 20s.

Wednesday: A cold start to the day with temperatures rising through the 20s. Highs improve to the low 40s for the afternoon. Some sprinkles or flurries could pass through during the day/at night. Staying mostly cloudy.

Thursday: A break between systems so some dry time again. Highs in the mid to upper 40s. Mix of sun and clouds with clouds thickening up at night.

Friday: Scattered rain showers return, especially south. Becoming breezy and warmer. Highs in the upper 40s.

Saturday: Rain showers continue especially early in the day, especially south. Highs in the middle 40s. 

Sunday: Sunshine returns and pleasant. Highs in the middle 40s.
