Problems have been reported throughout the U.S. east and west coasts, as well as in Mexico, South America, the United Kingdom and southeastern Australia, according to downdetector.com's most recent updates this evening.

Facebook officials have gone to Twitter in an effort to pass along updates. One tweet reads, "We're focused on working to resolve the issue as soon as possible, but can confirm that the issue is not related to a DDoS attack."
