Don’t let the cold weather keep you in the house. Here is a list of four activities to do this weekend in Clark and Champaign counties.
Swap meet & car show
The Springfield Swap Meet & Car Show is 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Clark County Fairgrounds,, 4401 S. Charleston Pike in Springfield.
Attendees will see vintage race cars, memorabilia, stock cars, dragsters, and show cars. Parts vendors will be on-site to help attendees find parts they’ve been needing.
Admission is $5 per person.

The Northwestern High School Craft Fair is 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at 5780 Troy Road in Springfield.
This event will feature over 100 vendors, food, drinks, and raffles.
Admission is $1 per person and supports Northwestern band programs.

The Springfield Symphony Orchestra will present Aretha: A tribute Jubilee!, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, at Kuss Auditorium, Clark State Performing Arts Center, 300 S. Fountain Ave. in Springfield.
This tribute will feature Broadway favorite Capathia Jenkins and Grammy Award nominee Ryan Shaw with the Community Chorus.
Tickets start at $16.30 per person.

Holiday Open House
Downtown Urbana will kick off the holiday shopping season with over 20 local stores participating in an open house, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Locally owned specialty shops and eateries will be open to explore.

Harley & Hal Jackson Auctioneers will host a large collection/variety gun auction, 10 a.m. Saturday, at the Champaign County Fairgrounds, 384 Park Ave. in Urbana.
Admission is free.
