Deadline approaching to apply for homestead exemption

Clark County Auditor John Federer encourages homeowners who turn 65 at any point in 2011 or who are permanently disabled to apply for the Homestead Exemption Program by Monday, June 6.

Property owners can sign up with the county auditor’s office. Applications are available in the auditor’s office or by calling (937) 521-1862 or online at www.clarkcountyauditor.org.

Homeowners who wish to apply for the 2.5 percent owner-occupied tax reduction must file an application with the auditor’s office by June 6.
