Semi hauling grain overturns on SR 72 in Greene County

Deputies are directing traffic around crash that resulted with an overturned semitrailer on state Route 72 south of Jamestown Monday afternoon.

Deputies on the scene said the driver was not injured in the crash.

It is unknown how long cleanup is expected to take.

FIRST REPORT

Emergency crews have responded to reports of overturned semitrailer on state Route 72 south of Jamestown, according to initial reports.

The crash was reported on state Route 72 north of Jasper Road around 2:30 p.m.

The semi was hauling grain that spilled after the vehicle ended up on its side, reports indicate.

Emergency scanner traffic indicates the driver was freed from the semi but it was not known if they were injured.

Dispatchers said state Route 72 is still open in both directions.
