Commissioners approve annual court grant

The Champaign County Commissioners approved an annual RECLAIM Ohio grant during a meeting Thursday morning.

Judge Lori Reisinger, of the Champaign County Juvenile Court, said the roughly $234,000 grant is awarded to counties throughout the state based on a formula that considers the number of juvenile felony adjudications, among other factors.

Money from the Ohio Department of Youth Services grant is used for a wide variety of purposes, including helping cover the costs of items like ankle monitors, drug and alcohol programs, and clinical assessments, among others.
