A Springfield family business that opened during the summer has recently moved within the same shopping center.

Cory’s Comics & Music is now located at 1030 Upper Valley Pike.

Owner Cory Knisley and his brother Jordan Knisley buy and sell comic books, records, toys, and video games.

“I have been a huge comic collector my whole life and I wanted to bring the comic book scene back to Springfield,” Cory said. “My partner (Jordan) and I are big comic book and record enthusiasts.”

The brothers had previously bought and sold similar items through flea markets, antique malls and eBay, but decided they should open a store in their hometown.

“We had to find the right area of Springfield to open in,” Cory said. “This is perfect. I couldn’t be happier where I am.”

Cory’s Comics & Music is in their “slow period” and hope to bring in new customers before the spring and summer.

“What sets our store apart from other stores is not only the fact that we sell the comic books and the comic book collectibles, but also our prices.” Cory said. “If they (customers) do not like whatever price they see, they can make offers.”

Comic book prices start at 50 cents and records start at $1.
