Clark County emergency crews rescue 2 from Mad River trip

Mad River Twp. emergency personnel and Clark County sheriff’s deputies helped rescue two people from the banks of the Mad River on Sunday evening.

Two women were in a kayak and became hung up in the river.

Mad River Twp. Fire and EMS Department crews responded to perform a river rescue with assistance from the Clark County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened in the Mad River at Wynn Road near Old Lower Valley Pike and South Tecumseh Road.

The two did not sustain serious injuries.
