Coldest air of season arrives this week


Mostly clear overnight, but it will be chilly with temperatures dropping to near 30 degrees, Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Eric Elwell said.

Thursday: Skies will be mostly sunny. A few clouds will arrive as winds pick up in the afternoon. Highs will reach into the lower 50s.

Friday: A much chillier day is in the forecast with temperatures starting the day in the lower 20s and wind chills in the teens. Skies will be mostly sunny but highs will only reach into the middle 30s.

Saturday: Another chilly start to the day is expected with increasing clouds through the day. Highs will reach into the lower 40s.

Sunday: Scattered showers likely. It will be breezy and cool with highs in the upper 40s. Scattered showers likely. It will be breezy and cool with highs in the upper 40s.

Monday: Expect some early morning showers with clouds lingering into the afternoon. Highs will be in the middle 40s.
