Chance for rain and snow returns early this week

Clouds linger this evening, but there will be some clearing overnight, Storm Center 7 Meteorologist Brett Collar said. It'll be a cold night with lows in the middle 20s.

Tonight: Decreasing clouds are expected overnight tonight. It'll be a cool night with low in the mid-20s and wind chills in the teens.

Monday: A dry start is expected, but the chance for rain and snow returns in the evening. The best chance to see any snow will be north of Interstate 70. While the chance for accumulation is small, it can't be ruled out. Highs will be in the lower 40s.

Tuesday: A few passing snow showers are expected. It'll be cold and breezy with highs in the middle 30s.

Wednesday: A few flurries can't be ruled out, but aside from that we're looking forward to decreasing clouds. Highs will be in the middle 30s.

Thursday: Some more sunshine is expected. It'll be a warmer day with highs near 50 degrees.

Friday: Most of the day looks dry under partly cloudy skies. Highs will be in the lower 50s. The chance for rain returns late Friday into Saturday.
