Chamber of Greater Springfield collects bottled water for Dayton tornado victims

The Chamber of Greater Springfield will be collecting bottled water for donation until 4 p.m. this afternoon.

The Chamber will be taking the bottle water to Mike’s Bike Park in Dayton, which is the designated water drop-off and pick-up location for tornado victims in Dayton.

As of noon Wednesday, a boil advisory remains in effect for all of the City of Dayton, Montgomery County and Trotwood water customers after seven tornadoes touched down on Memorial Day.

The Chamber wanted to do something to help Dayton residents affected by the tornado, Camaren Sloan, from the Chamber of Greater Springfield, said.

“Dayton is a great city, it’s our neighbor,” Sloan said. “We want to be as supportive as we can.”

Those interested in donating bottles of water can bring the donations to the Chamber offices, located in the Commerce Pointe building at 20 S. Limestone St. Suite 100.
