Brrr: Wind chill to send weekend temps reeling

Breezes on Saturday will produce a wind chill that will send temperatures into the lower 20s.

Temperatures began slowly falling Friday night, from an afternoon in the 40s to the upper 30s by early evening.

"The breeze will lighten up a bit overnight, skies clear and we drop to about 26 come sunrise," Storm Center 7 Chief Meteorologist Jamie Simpson said Friday evening.

Saturday winds will reach about 20 to 25 mph by the afternoon and at times will produce wind chills in the lower 20s.

Sunday will begin with temperatures in the mid to upper teens, Simpson said, noting, "Winds will be light, thankfully."

The temperature should climb back above freezing, into the mid 30s, on Monday. But, they will hover in the 20s and 30s through Wednesday.

Thanksgiving will be sunny -- but continued cold. Temperatures will begin in the 20s and afternoon highs will again reach into the 30s.
