Bart Simpson’s voice coming to Fairmont play

KETTERING — The woman behind cartoon Bart Simpson’s voice will be lending her voice to Fairmont High School’s fall play later this month.

Nancy Cartwright, a Fairmont graduate, will play a character in the high school’s radio theater presentation of If I Were You, according to Ross Taylor, Fairmont’s play director.

The play will be held at 7p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 19 and 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 20 in the high school’s recital hall, 3301 Shroyer Road.

Tickets are $15. To purchase tickets, call the school’s ticket office at (937) 499-2647.

Only 200 seats are available.

ABC 22/Fox 45 Morning Anchor Pete Scalia will also appear in the production.

The event is a fundraiser for the school’s threater department and some proceeds will be given to Project READ — a coalition of public and private organizations designed to promote literacy in the Miami Valley.

Simpson is a character on the Fox Network’s cartoon show The Simpsons.
