Gunman makes off with cash from Family Dollar in Dayton’s Northwest Plaza

UPDATE @ 10:09 p.m.: The gunman who robbed the Family Dollar in the Northwest Plaza made off with roughly $200 cash, a Dayton police sergeant said.

The suspect showed a handgun, grabbed cash, ran from the store, 3295 W. Siebenthaler Ave., jumped into a car and sped off.

Police officers were at the store, checking sidewalks and parking lots at the shopping center for evidence.

There were no injuries and no shots were fired.

Police are looking for the gunman who robbed the Family Dollar store in the 3200 block of West Siebenthaler Avenue in Dayton.

The suspect was last seen wearing a ski mask, black jeans and black jacket, is believed to be about 5 feet 5 inches tall and was reportedly running on Free Pike, according to a description broadcast via Montgomery County Regional Dispatch.

The incident was dispatched about 10 p.m.
