Amateur radio training classes

The Independent Radio Association will host Amateur Radio Training Classes for the Federal Communications Commission’s Amateur Radio Service (ham radio) Technician Class license. The course will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and continue the next nine Wednesdays at the Clark County Chapter, American Red Cross, 1830 N. Limestone St., Springfield.

The course is free, but students will be encouraged to order a $25 textbook at the first session.

License testing will be scheduled after the final class.
