“I had so many people calling me and emailing me and texting me on Facebook and asking me to run again and to apply,” Hopkins said. “I was really shocked. When I would go places, even at the council meetings, people there would tell me that I need to apply and I would be good for the city.”
Hopkins’ term will expire at the end of the year and she said she plans to run for election in November.
