“I am proud of our club and the things we get to do to impact the community,” Vice President Sydney Lamb said. “We did this to give back to our community.”

Lamb said the club has between 30 and 40 members and are committed to helping others in need and volunteering in the community. The club is two years old and this is the first year it has donated to the homeless shelter, she said.

“We have necessities such as lotions, shampoo, socks, things like that and then we have other little things like hair brushes, toothbrushes and things like that,” she said.

The club donated 25 gift boxes to the shelter. The gift boxes were wrapped and were full of items for the teens. Lamb said it was good that the group helps teenagers because they are often forgotten during the holiday season.

“We as a club like to give back to the community and thought it would be a really good idea to give back to people our age that are in need,” she said. “Some of these teenagers have to sacrifice to get this so we thought we could help.”
