Voters passed the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center levy Tuesday night that will help improve and repair the building and grow opportunities for local students.

The school in Bellefontaine serves Champaign County students and asked voters for a 0.6-mil permanent improvement levy. It will cost owners of a $100,000 property about $22 a year.

“This means we will be able to renovate and expand the learning spaces on our Bellefontaine main campus as well as update equipment, technology, and tools in our satellite programs,” said Superintendent Rick Smith in a statement. “I also want to thank the many volunteers that helped get information out to our communities about this important issue

The Ohio Hi-Point Career Center serves juniors and seniors from 14 partner school districts, including several in Champaign County, and offers more than 30 career training programs.
