Culture — We will partner with parents and the community to meet the developmental needs of our students. To do this we will invite mentors into our schools and work with local businesses to create partnerships. Our goal is to have 80 percent of our students involved in extra- or co-curriculars. We will also increase our communication and involvement with parents and ensure that students are engaged in learning and proud to be Triad Cardinals. We will make sure our students are safe at school.
Continuous improvement — We will be lifelong learners who meet the changing needs of our students. Our goal is to have one of the top 10 proficiency scores among the 42 school districts in our region in every subject and every grade level. We will provide academic and career advising for all students in grades 6-12. We will provide personalized learning experiences by increasing elective choices, career tech options, and online curriculum in grades 7-12. We will create reading improvement plans for all students reading below grade level in grades K-3.
Financial stability — We will be responsible to our community and will provide an excellent education at an excellent value. We will ensure our per pupil spending is less than the state average and that our tax rate is lower than the average of our local comparison group. We have created a Financial Advisory Committee and a five-year facility improvement plan. We will make sure students and staff have the technology they need to be successful.
Academic achievement — We will ensure that our students are college and career ready. We will have at least one year of "growth" each year in each subject as measured by our "value added" scores. We will meet 100 percent of the state indicators, will have a performance index of 100 or higher, and will graduate 100 percent of our students on time. All K-3 students will be "on track" to pass the Third Grade Reading Guarantee and our average ACT score will be higher than the state average.
