Two homes burglarized on the west side of Clark County

Two Clark County homes were burglarized resulting in thousands of dollars worth of valuables stolen and a house was tossed.

Clark County Sheriff’s Office was called Jan. 15 to two homes on the west side of the county, incident reports say. At one home on the 700 block of North Hampton Road, the house was ransacked and items were stolen.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office continues its investigation. No arrests have been made in the case.

“Three flat screen TVs - Toshiba 32 inch … Pro Scan 48 inch flat screen … Insignia 32-inch flat screen TV, a wedding ring and a star of the sea necklace,” were reported stolen the report says.

The value of the property is estimated at over $1,000.

The family of the victim contacted the Springfield News-Sun and told the newspaper that the woman’s house was tossed. The report says evidence was collected at the screen.

The family hopes deputies are able to make an arrest soon.

The other burglary took place on the 9000 block of West National Road. The report doesn’t include a list of valuables stolen, saying that the owner is still taking inventory.

The reports don’t include a descriptive narrative of the interaction with the victims. Both reports simply indicate that deputies were called to the homes for reports of burglaries.
