Trailers in Pike County where eight family members were murdered were moved for a second time.

Pike County officials removed the four mobile homes Nov. 2 — where Rhoden family members were found April 22, 2016, shot to death — from the now-defunct Hadswell Chemical Processing warehouse in Waverly to a pole barn inside the Pike County Sheriff’s Office impound lot, our media partner WCPO-TV in Cincinnati reported.

Sheriff Charles Reader said staff took photos and video of the move for “chain of custody purposes” to show that there were no lapses in how the evidence was stored, WCPO reported.

“Charlie (Reader) said they'd have a deputy watching them 24/7 until they get a video system in,” Pike County Prosecutor Rob Junk told WCPO.

Pike County commissioners on Aug. 7 approved a motion to spend $95,975 to built the pole barn. Waverly-based RJK Fabrication & Construction LLC received the contract.
