Authorities discovered machines were tampered with at Kroger locations on Derr Road and North Limestone Street as well, although it is unclear if any cash was taken from those machines.

An unknown suspect went hunting for spare change by breaking into several gumball machines, according to a report by the Springfield Police Division.
According to the report, a service man who maintains the machines told police someone stole about $80 in cash from several machines in the 900 block of Bechtle Avenue between Saturday, May 7 and May 14.
