Five Guys Burgers and Fries, 1994 N. Bechtle Road, opened for business at the new Springfield Town Center on Wednesday.
The business made an approximately $250,000 investment into the retail development, according to city building permit records. The business was expected to bring 30 to 40 jobs.
Springfield Town Center, which currently houses Buffalo Wild Wings, Sleep Outfitters and Sports Clips, was purchased by Tolson Enterprises in January for $2.5 million. The $1 million expansion will also likely house Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt and at least three more retail or restaurant franchises.
Five Guys is open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., according to its website. STAFF REPORT
