The chance for showers and storms continues through the night, according to the National Weather Service in Wilmington.

Overnight temperatures will drop to around 67 degrees as rain chances gradually lessen with the loss of the heating from the day.

On Friday, the rain chances will continue their very gradual decline, with highs rising to near 83 degrees. Overnight there will still be a slight chance of showers as temperatures dip to around 64 degrees.

After Friday’s gradually declining chance of showers, the NWS predicted that Saturday will be the opposite, with showers and thunderstorms starting the day with a slight chance when the sun comes up, but growing slowly throughout the day. Rain chances are expected to continue to steadily climb all Saturday night.

During the day on Saturday highs will be near 81 degrees, then fall to a low of around 65 degrees.
