The identity of the person who killed the shooter hasn’t been released by police.
This isn't the first time a bystander has stopped a shooter — an unarmed man wrestled a gun from a shooter in a Tennessee Waffle House last month.
The injured are expected to survive
Police say a mother and her 12-year-old daughter were injured during the shooting but are expected to survive, per a report by Fox 23. Police have not released their identities.
The two were shot while entering the restaurant for the 12-year-old girl's birthday party, radio station KRMG reported. A police spokesman told KRMG the victims were undergoing surgery but were "going to survive."
Another man broke his arm while trying to run from the restaurant.
There is no known motive
The incident was apparently a random act, Fox 23 reported. A motive wasn’t immediately clear as to what caused the shooting.
“We have no reason to believe this is a terrorist type of incident,” Police spokesman Bo Matthews said, according to KRMG.
