There are a total of 27,923 cases and 1,625 deaths from coronavirus in Ohio as of May 17, the Ohio Department of Health reported.

26,220 cases and 1,472 deaths are confirmed. The rest of the cases fall under guidelines from the Center for Disease Control that allow for more accurate statistics.

4,921 people have been hospitalized and 1,305 people have been admitted to an intensive care unit since the beginning of March.

Gov. Mike DeWine will not address the public on the state's response to coronavirus. 
This week, campgrounds and horse racing will reopen. However, campgrounds are limiting one family household per campsite and horse races will have no spectators. Racinos will also remain closed.
