40,848 cases, 2,554 deaths reported from coronavirus in Ohio

There have been 40,848 reported cases and 2,554 deaths from COVID-19 in Ohio as of June 13, the Ohio Department of Health reported.

37,893 cases and 2,324 deaths have been confirmed by the state. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 6,864 people have been hospitalized and 1,754 people have been admitted to an intensive care unit.

Healthcare workers make up around 15 percent of the positive cases, the state reported.

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine will provide his next update to the state on Tuesday, June 16.
