West Liberty-Salem High School scholarship recipients

The following graduation candidates accepted a minimum of $5,000 in renewable and nonrenewable scholarships:

Rachel Lee Davis, daughter of Heath and Amy Davis, will attend Defiance College. She accepted a total of $25,300 in scholarships from Defiance College.

Christine Rebecca Edwards, daughter of Mike and Susan Edwards, will attend Cedarville University. She accepted a total of $10,000 in scholarships from Cedarville University.

Janalee Dawn Glunt, daughter of Mark and Donna Glunt, will attend Wittenberg University. She accepted a total of $35,460 in scholarships from Wittenberg University.

Elisabeth Marie Gresh, daughter of Steve and Denise Gresh, will attend The College of Wooster. She accepted a total of $36,250 in scholarships from The College of Wooster and the Grimes Foundation.

John Dovell Hance, IV, son of John and Rhonda Hance, will attend Hanover College. He accepted a total of $18,000 in scholarships from Hanover College and the Urbana Optimist.

Rebekah Anne Hunt, daughter of J. Mark and Patricia Hunt, will attend Geneva College. She accepted a total of $10,000 in scholarships from Geneva College.

Sarah Elizabeth Hunt, daughter of J. Mark and Patricia Hunt, will attend Geneva College. She accepted a total of $13,000 in scholarships from Geneva College.

Abbey Gail Jenkins, daughter of Carl and Kim Jenkins, will attend Liberty University. She accepted a total of $5,600 in scholarships from Liberty University.

Ross Vincent Lowry, son of Tom and Anne Lowry, will attend Ohio University. He accepted a total of $26,000 in scholarships from Ohio University and the Army ROTC.

Nathaniel Paul Marceau, son of Keith and Pam Marceau, will attend American University. He accepted a total of $10,000 in scholarships from American University.

Sarah Elizabeth Murphy, daughter of William and Jennifer Murphy, will attend Wilmington College. She accepted a total of $16,500 in scholarships from Wilmington College and the Beth Brown Memorial.

Jacob Anthony Ochs, son of Mark and Shelly Ochs, will attend Mercyhurst College. He accepted a total of $18,060 in scholarships from Mercyhurst College.

Matthew Brian Perdue, son of Kenneth and Beckalyn Perdue, will attend the Mount Vernon Nazarene University. He accepted a total of $9,200 in scholarships from Mount Vernon Nazarene University.

Kayla Ann Peterson, daughter of James Peterson and Jennifer Peterson, will attend Alderson-Broaddus College. She accepted a total of $22,500 in scholarships from Alderson-Broaddus College, Christy Knotts & Ranae Donohoe Memorial, Start to Finish, and the West Liberty-Salem Education Association.

Benjamin Lee Rutan, son of Dean and Tonya Rutan, will attend Miami University. He accepted a total of $5,000 in scholarships from Miami University and the West Liberty Lions Club/Sam Swartz Memorial.

Ashley Elizabeth Sarver, daughter of Keith and Pamela Sarver, will attend Olivet Nazarene University. She accepted a total of $25,188 in scholarships from Olivet Nazarene University.

Kathleen Denielle Scott, daughter of Kirk and Pam Scott, will attend Mount Vernon Nazarene University. She accepted a total of $14,300 in scholarships from Mount Vernon Nazarene University and the Christy Knotts & Ranae Donohoe Memorial.

Sadie Jean Shafer, daughter of Rusty Shafer and Stephanie Plank-Shafer, will attend Bellarmine University. She accepted a total of $18,900 in scholarships from Bellarmine University.

Jacob Nathaniel Shank, son of Kenneth and Cheryl Shank, will attend Eastern Mennonite University. He accepted a total of $19,000 in scholarships from Eastern Mennonite University and the Logan County Electrical CoOp.

Taylor Marie Thomas, daughter of Jamie Thomas and Shannan Godwin, will attend the Kent State University. She accepted a total of $5,500 in scholarships from Kent State University.

Matthew Thomas Vogel, son of Jason and Ann Vogel, will attend the University of Dayton. He accepted $13,000 in scholarships from the University of Dayton.

Mercedes Ann Watkins, daughter of Chad Wick and Leslie Watkins, will attend Urbana University. She accepted a total of $5,000 in scholarships from Urbana University.

Tara Ann Wyatt, daughter of Jeff and Trisha Wyatt, will attend Defiance College. She accepted a total of $13,000 in scholarships from Defiance College.

The following graduation candidates were awarded renewable and nonrenewable scholarships under $5,000:

Brock Stephen Bahan, son of Robert Bahan and Stephanie Castle, will attend Bowling Green State University. He accepted a total of $1,500 in scholarships from Bowling Green State University.

Kaitlin Ann Burkhammer, daughter of Ed and Dawn Burkhammer, will attend Ohio University. She accepted a total of $2,000 in scholarships from Ohio University and the F.O.P. Lodge #93.

Tyler Michael Cordell, son of Todd and Michelle Cordell, will attend Bowling Green State University or will serve with the United States Air Force. He accepted a total of $500 in scholarships from the West Liberty Lions Club/Sam Swartz Memorial.

Kyle Evan Cox, son of Scott and Joyce Cox, will attend Wright State University. He accepted a total of $1,000 in scholarships from Wright State University.

Staci Jo Inskeep, daughter of Todd and Tammy Inskeep, will attend The Ohio State University, Lima. She accepted a total of $800 in scholarships from The Ohio State University.

Tyler Melissa Lane, daughter of Bryan Lane and Shari Keck, will attend Wright State University. She accepted a total of $1,000 in scholarships from the Logan County Retired Teachers.

Matthew Ryan McKelvey, son of Bill and Jill McKelvey, will attend Wright State University. He accepted a total of $1,500 in scholarships from Wright State University.

Hannah Tracey Ropp, daughter of Donald and Janet Ropp, will attend Youngstown State University. She accepted a total of $4,000 in scholarships from Youngstown State University, Urbana VFW Post #5451, West Liberty Lions Club/Sam Swartz Memorial, and the Beth Brown Memorial.

Carrie Lynne Shoemaker, daughter of Crista Shoemaker and the late Jeff Shoemaker, will attend Clark State Community College. She accepted a total of $800 in scholarships from the West Liberty Lions Club/Sam Swartz Memorial, and the WLSEA.
