I am so glad I cancelled my weekday subscription to the newspaper. Just reading the Speak Ups in Sunday's paper, it's completely outrageous to see so many of our people so uninformed. It's frightening. You just listen to the sound bites on the network news and don't bother to research or learn for yourself.
I don't know why people tolerate this reverse-Robin Hood policy of the far right to take from the poor and give to the rich. What are we, a nation of masochists?
Why should it have been frightening that John Kasich did not have any African-Americans in his Cabinet? I thought the color of a person's skin had nothing to do with how good or bad that person is at his or her job.
The governor's prime responsibility is picking the best-qualified candidate, in his opinion. Ohio cannot withstand more political and social correctness. Get used to it! Note to media: Your job is to point it out when his selections are not qualified.
When is there going to be some entertainment in town that I can afford? Anything I see, tickets cost 55 or 65 or 85 dollars. How about us common folk? We like entertainment too, not just the "upper crust." How about 15- or 20-dollar entertainment?
Maybe global warming is what we need to get over this winter. Where's a Democrat when you need one?
If the people of Egypt had guns 50 years ago, they might not have been forced to accept a dictator and today there would be no need to take to the streets. Tyrants and liberal Democrats don't like armed citizens.
