A statewide public hearing on all of the proposed rules will be held at 9 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, at the Division of Wildlife’s District One office, 1500 Dublin Road, Columbus.

Learn to ride
Five Rivers MetroParks is offering horseback riding lessons beginning this week and concluding at the end of April. There will be separate sessions on Thursdays and Saturdays, starting Thursday, March 3, and Saturday, March 5, at Carriage Hill Riding Center, 7800 E. Shull Road. Adult and youth programs are available in English and Western riding. Participants must be at least 8. Appropriate riding attire and closed toe boots are required. Helmets will be provided. Fish forecast: The Greene County Sportsmen’s Seminar at 7 p.m. Tuesday will feature Ohio Division of Wildlife district fish management supervisor Doug Maloney. Starting at 6:30 p.m., free boat inspections will be held for anyone who trailers a boat to the meeting. Bring registrations and all safety equipment.
