You will need
Purchased:
Silverware — 19 cents each from Goodwill
Scrapbook paper — 99 cents from Michaels
Wooden display frame — $3.99 at Michaels
White acrylic paint — $1.29 at Michaels
Black acrylic paint — $1.29 at Michaels
Items I already had around the house:
Gorilla Glue
Mod Podge
Scissors
Ruler
Pen/pencil
Foam brush
Directions
- Clean and remove all tags from your silverware
- Measure the inner part of your display frame and cut out your scrapbook paper to match the size.
- Paint the outside frame black. Let dry and then add second coat.
- Using the white paint, apply multiple coats to your silverware. Let dry completely in between coats. Your goal is to have the silverware appear white. This will take several coats.
- Once all items are painted, apply a coat of Mod Podge to seal everything in.
- Using the Mod Podge, glue your paper to the inside of your display frame.
- Once dry, add a second layer over the entire frame to secure everything in place.
- Glue your silverware in a pattern to the inside of your frame using the Gorilla Glue.
- Let everything dry completely and then you are ready to hang it up and enjoy.
