How to make a fun, unique rubber band vase

Give old, boring vases a fun update.

Want to jazz up an old glass vase and give it a modern flare? All you need are some rubber bands and a little paint to make a unique vase.

You will need

Purchased:

• Three glass vases — 99 cents each at Dollar Tree

• White glass paint — $2.29 at Michaels

Items I already had around the house:

• Clear spray sealer

• Rubber bands

• Foam brushes

• Clear sealer or Mod Podge

Directions

1. Clean each vase and remove all tags.

2. Place thick rubber bands around each vase in a random pattern. Do not use thin rubber bands, they will just roll and won’t work properly.

3. Use a foam brush and paint the outside of each vase and over the rubber bands.

4. Let dry, then remove the rubber bands.

5. Use Mod Podge or a clear sealer spray to finish vases.

For just $5.26, you have a beautiful vase that can add flare to your home decor. If you don’t like white, try using another color glass paint to better suit your decorating style. You can also use different thicknesses of rubber bands to vary the lines on the glass.
