The talent: This year's lineup features 17 acts, including Montgomery Gentry and Darius Rucker, performing on two stages. Headliners for 2011 are Lady Antebellum (Thursday), Carrie Underwood (Friday) and Jason Aldean (Saturday). Music begins at 6 p.m. Thursday, 4 p.m. Friday and noon Saturday.
Lady Antebellum: This harmony-obsessed trio from Augusta, Ga., formed in 2006 and signed to Capitol Nashville in 2007. The group's first single, "Love Don't Live Here," was released that same year. The group's self-titled debut from 2008 and the 2010 follow-up, "Need You Now," both debuted at No. 1 on the country charts.
Carrie Underwood: The small-town beauty from Checotah, Okla., was the first country singer to take the top prize on "American Idol." She went on to become not just one of the program's biggest discoveries but also one of the top singers in Nashville. The five-time Grammy winner's third and latest album, "Play On" (2009), was her third-consecutive multiplatinum album.
Jason Aldean: The country singer was 14 when he began performing professionally in his hometown of Macon, Ga., in 1991. Today, at 34, he's one of the biggest country acts going. Aldean's latest album, "My Kind of Party," was released in November, 2010. His current iTunes single, a remix of "Dirt Road Anthem," features rapper Ludacris.
