Background/Overview: "The family atmosphere, everything is house-made, and it's a local business," said Chef John Linardos Jr. in describing the restaurant his father made familiar more than 43 years ago at Linardos Villa.

The business opened as Shultz’s Fine Food in1945. It later became Ungerleider Supper Club. John Linardos Sr. opened his restaurant in the space in 1971, and kept the well-known Supper Club name for quite a few years until he changed the title to Linardos Villa.

Family unity and fresh food are two inspiring reasons for the longevity of the Springfield restaurant, according to the owners. Mrs. Linardos helps out wherever needed, Harry Linardos controls the “front-of-house,” and his father often helps the chef organize the fresh Mediterranean-American cuisine in the kitchen.
