Background/overview

This Springfield business district building was constructed in 1909 for The Eagles Lodge. It was its only inhabitant until 2010, when Chris and Rebecca Lewis bought it to continue their investing in Springfield.

They named it the Buckeye Sports Lodge to be a premier private club, restaurant and event facility. The public is welcome, however, you must be a member to enter after 2 p.m.

In 2015, a contest sponsored by the Springfield Chamber of Commerce gave the Buckeye Sports Lodge honorable mention as runner-up for “Best Breakfast in Springfield.” The owners are thrilled, because many prominent restaurant chains were among the candidates for this award. They announce, “We supply a warm, inviting old-world atmosphere coupled with friendly service and exceptional food and drink.”
