Amy Rollins is editor of the newspaper’s Wheels automotive section and staff writer for the Skywrighter, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base’s newspaper published by contract. Dayton, once home to General Motors’ Moraine Assembly Plant where Chevy Trailblazers were built, is a great car town, but Rollins also enjoys the area’s military community and the Airmen, commanders, scientists and civilians she has met and written about. She also edits special marketing publication sections on auto shows, education and more. She has served as the real estate section editor and Wheels editor twice. Rollins, a Miami University graduate, has been employed by Cox for more than 25 years. She and husband Ron have worked at three newspapers in Ohio and Texas; Ron retired from Cox in 2020 after 33 years of service as a leader and editor. They have two adult children, a son-in-law, a son’s fiancée, three brilliant grandchildren and two short-legged dogs. Reach her at Amy.Rollins@coxinc.com or Amy.Rollins.ctr@us.af.mil (WPAFB) or by cell at 937-238-9179.
