A 6-foot-7 inch forward from Hawaii, Sueing led the Golden Bears in scoring at 14.3 points per game as a sophomore last season. He also grabbed 6.0 rebounds while handing out nearly two assists per game.
Although Sueing will have to sit out the 2019-20 season per NCAA rules, Holtmann said he believes the next year will be important for his overall growth.
“We were really impressed with his maturity in recruiting him and we believe his experiences his first two years in college are going to benefit him moving forward here at Ohio State,” the coach said.
With Sueing in the fold, Ohio State potentially could be experienced and deep in 2020-21.
If everyone with eligibility sticks around (a bigger if than it used to be), the Buckeyes will have three seniors, four juniors and four sophomores.
Holtmann has one scholarship available for the 2020 class.
