Tecumseh’s Josh Brents scored on a three-yard run in the first quarter to give the Arrows a 7-0 lead. Shawnee’s Tyler Mercer scored on a 25-yard TD run and then Mitch found Max Guyer from 47 yards out to give the Braves a 12-7 lead.
Arrows QB Nate Cory threw a 28-yard TD pass to Collin O’Connor right before the half to give Tecumseh a 14-12 lead at the half.
Mitch found Miller on a TD in the third quarter to give Shawnee the lead for good. Both players returned interceptions in the second half to seal the victory for the Braves.
Shawnee stayed unbeaten at 3-0 and 2-0 in the CBC Kenton Trail Division. The Braves travel to unbeaten London in Week 4.
The Arrows fell to 1-2 and 0-2 in the CBC Kenton Trail. The Arrows travel to unbeaten Jonathan Alder.
Graham 14, North Union 13: Brady King’s 4-yard TD run in the second quarter proved to be the difference as the Falcons improved to 3-0 and 2-0 in the CBC Mad River Division.
Austin McKee returned an interception 55 yards for a touchdown to give the Falcons a 7-0 lead.
North Union scored six points in the third quarter, but were unable to mount a comeback, falling to 1-2 and 1-1 in the division.
The Falcons host Champaign County rival Urbana next week.
West Jefferson 49, Northeastern 15: Sophomore quarterback Cade Houseman went 13-for-26 for 128 yards, including a 13-yard TD pass to sophomore Adam Laughbaum as the Jets fell to 1-2 and 0-2 in the Ohio Heritage Conference North Division.
Northeastern senior Sam Franzen made a 33-yard field goal in the second quarter for the Jets. Houseman also returned an interception 53 yards for a touchdown.
The Jets host Mechanicsburg next week.
Fairbanks 49, West Liberty-Salem 48: Trailing by seven points with a minute remaining, Tigers junior quarterback Christian Griffith found senior Nick Burden from 41 yards out to bring them within one point, but the game-winning two-point conversion failed.
The two teams combined 944 yards of total offense, including 560 for the Tigers, which fell to 2-1 and 1-1 in the OHC North.
Griffith went 22-for-36 for 302 yards and four TDs. Burden caught eight passes for 120 yards and three TDs, while senior Isaiah McGill rushed 21 times for 185 yards and two TDs.
Fairbanks' Brogan Green rushed for 231 yards and three TDs for Fairbanks (3-0, 2-0 OHC North).
The Tigers travel to West Jefferson next Friday night, while Fairbanks hosts Triad.
Mechanicsburg 38, Triad 0: Junior quarterback Aaron Conley threw for 178 yards and rushed for 43 yards as the Indians cruised to an OHC North victory over their Champaign County rivals.
Senior Keith Bebout caught two TD passes in the victory for Mechanicsburg (3-0, 2-0).
Greeneview 32, Cedarville 7: Senior Dakota Mangan rushed for 121 yards and two TDs as the Rams beat their Greene County rival to improve to 2-1 and 2-0 in the OHC South Division.
Jayden DeHaven rushed for 114 yards and two TDs for the Rams, who led 25-0 at the half. Greeneview travels to Catholic Central next week.
Cedarville freshman Jackson Pyles threw a 69-yard TD pass to freshman Jackson Howdyshell for the Indians lone TD. Cedarville is 0-3 and 0-2 in the division.
London 35, Kenton Ridge 0: The Cougars fell to 0-3 and 0-2 in the CBC Kenton Trail.
Benjamin Logan 35, Urbana 0: Junior Levi Stapleton rushed for 49 yards as the Hillclimbers fell to 0-3 and 0-2 in the division.
Greenon 50, Madison Plains 28: The Knights improved to 2-1 and 2-0 in the OHC South. They host Cedarville next week.
