Urbana football wins on last-second FG

URBANA — Matt Hausheer kicked a 33-yard field goal with four seconds left in the game to give Urbana University a 20-19 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan in the home opener at Blue Knights Field on Saturday, Sept. 5.

After falling behind 19-17 with 32 seconds left, Urbana's Ian Iler returned the kickoff to the 50-yard line. Evan Gehlert, who threw for a career-high 245 yards and a touchdown, made two completions to get Urbana to the 16-yard line and set up the game-winning kick.

This is the Blue Knights’ (1-1) first victory over a Division II opponent since 2006 and snapped a 10-game losing streak.
