Springfield product transfers closer to home to continue hoops career

Former Springfield High School standout Dae’Shawn Jackson intends to continue his college career closer to home.

Edison State Community College announced today Jackson has signed a letter of intent to play there this season after competing for Owens Community College in northwest Ohio as a freshman last season.

The 6-foot point guard scored 9.4 points per game and dished out 3.9 assists.

He scored more than 1,000 points during his career at Springfield and was a second-team All-GWOC selection.
