Springfield native Adam Eaton: 3 things to know

Adam Eaton, a Springfield native and Washington Nationals right fielder, is continuing to make a mark on baseball’s biggest stage.

His team is the first team from Washington to appear in the World Series since the Senators in 1933.

Here are three things you should know about Eaton:

1. Eaton is a 2007 Kenton Ridge graduate, who went on to Miami University where he played baseball for three seasons.

2. He was traded to the Washington Nationals in 2016 from the Chicago White Sox and missed part of the 2017 season because of a torn ACL.

3. Eaton is the first Clark County native since Cincinnati Reds reliever Will McEnaney in 1975 to get a hit in the World Series.
