HS Roundup 10/8: Bellefontaine boys secure split of CBC title

Bellefontaine 1, London 0: Derek Robb netted the lone goal at the 37 minute mark of the second half, earning at least a share of the Central Buckeye Conference title for the first time in Bellefontaine history.

Franklin 2, Dixie 2: Bryan Thacker scored twice to give Franklin a lead, but Nick Emrick knocked in the equalizer for Dixie.

Miami East 6, Bethel 1: Connor Wilson and Wesley Sutherly each had two goals with one assist to lead East. Nick Schmidt netted the lone goal for Bethel.

New Knoxville 5, Van Wert 1: Zach Davis, Joseph Baende, Jose Rabadan and Carson Bierlein scored a goal apiece for New Knoxville.

Tecumseh 3, Kenton Ridge 2: Humberto Arevalo, Stephen Mattingly and Enrique Ruiz each tallied a goal for Tecumseh.

Girls Soccer

Chaminade Julienne 1, Greenon 1: Hallie Gilley put Greenon on the board with a goal but Bea Hawthorn had the equalizer for CJ.

Fairmont 6, Piqua 1: Keira Erling assisted Millie Bishop and Cami Copeland on goals before knocking in a score of her own to lead Fairmont. Meghan Deis added two assists.

Tecumseh 3, Kenton Ridge 2: Taylor Sisco scored twice and Bridget Harris once to spark a Tecumseh rally win.

Girls Volleyball

Bradford 3, MIssissinawa Valley 0: Macie Reck recorded 23 digs, Bianca Keener 15 kills and Cassi Mead 22 assists to lead Bradford.

Cedarville 3, Legacy Christian 0: Abigail Sheridan put up 12 kills with five aces, Eva Sheridan had eight digs and Luisa Christian three aces and six blocks for Cedarville.

Eaton 3, Greenville 2: Annika Gels scored 21 digs, Maley Tinstman 32 assists and Kayleigh Michael five aces as Eaton held off a Greenville rally.

New Knoxville 3, Lincolnview 1: Tasia Lauth led NK with 19 kills, Erin Scott added 30 digs and Carly Fledderjohann 50 assists.

Norwood 3, Cin. Christian 0: Caila Nagel and Emily Hesselgesser each had seven digs with Hesselgesser tacking on 10 kills in the loss for CC.
